Arlo SoHo Hotel NYC Offers Three Fun Neighborhoods for Exploring

New York City is a collection of dozens of neighborhoods that all work together to create the most vibrant city in the world. Throughout the five boroughs there’s an eclectic array of sights and sounds that have something for everyone. At Arlo SoHo Hotel NYC we’re often asked to name our absolute favorite neighborhood. While it’s impossible for a New Yorker to offer just one, we do have several that we think our worth an extended visit. Here’s three that often capture our hearts.

We’re fond of the Murray Hill neighborhood on the east side of Manhattan. For locals, it’s a nice place to live with attractive homes and a host of amenities. For visitors it’s an opportunity to explore like a local by stopping by the great cafes and hidden-gem restaurants. The neighborhood is a great spot for architecture, with an abundance of prewar townhouses and Beaux-Arts mansions.

The next recommended neighborhood Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Known as a very trendy area that transformed Brooklyn’s aesthetics, Williamsburg offers a dazzling array of bars, restaurants, and art galleries. During COVID times it’s a great area for people watching and takeout food, and as the pandemic fades hop into Williamsburg for Peter Luger Steak House and some of the best eats in the entire five boroughs. And then sleep of your meal at one of our amazingly restful beds at Arlo SoHo Hotel NYC.

A little further out of town in Queens is Astoria, a cute neighborhood that’s a fun blend of residential living and commercial space. The legendary Astoria Coffee is the place to start your morning trip. Then head to Athens Square Park for a stroll or check out the Museum of the Moving Image, an adult and kid-friendly spot to learn about the history of YouTube and stories about classic movie favorites.
